Based on fertilizer experimental design, an optimum model is established with spectrum characteristics for estimating winter wheat yield and deteming the relivant optimum period. The reflection ratio and its vegetation indices are important forecasting factors. In the study of nitrogen and phosphrus, TM1-4 and combinations of NTR and TM1-3 are all used as preminary factors to establish the model. In the models of wheat yield,N and P are introduced as variables.
This paper introduces a new spectral vegetation index, 6 — dimensional spectral greenness value GN. In estimating leaf area index of wheat canopy from spectral indices, GN is better than RVI, NDVI and PVI that they are often used by many researchers because its correlation coefficient is the biggest and its residual standard error is the smallest. There is only four channels radiometer in many departments of our country,so to calculate 4 —dimensional spectral greenness value in this paper.it also get a good result.
This paper deals with the waveform analysis of the spectra of specimens collected from Linglong gold ming in Shangdong province in the spectral region from 2. 0 to 2. 5 micron. The results show that this technique is useful in the identification of location and occurrence of quartz vein and its wall alteration.

In this paper some approaches to process the image of Kuwait burning oil wells was introduced. The image was taken by Landsat Thematic Mapper during the Persian Gulf War. A method of calculating the burning wells was also given.
